The Prezi web 2.0 tool has a very descriptive non-complicated way of usage for a class presentations. The icons are self-explanatory and can even be used at school grade levels. The tutorial presented for week 1 covered the website in detail providing an advanced outlook for completing the presentation in detail. Different styles, colors, and fonts are presented along with the formats that provide for a variety of exploring. The application is also in progress of being administered in my classrooms in regard to 21st Century Thinking.
The Prezi allows for new kinds of visualizations and opportunities for distant learning and traditional classroom instruction, which in turn creates a deeper understanding and knowledge retention. Even better, the tool is free and provides access from any web-enabled computer. This is great for students who may not have the Office suite on their home computers. Students and staff can easily create accounts on Prezi using their Face book accounts as well, which is a great tool for use as technology continues to increase.
